When you reduce your electric use, you reduce your carbon footprint, save money, and help protect the environment.

Washington Electric Co-op’s Pledge Service uses efficient technology and good, old-fashioned conservation to save money by lowering your electric use. The Co-op will also provide cash incentives to members who achieve their energy reduction goals.

Partner with the Co-op and sign up for the Pledge Service.

Reduce your electric use through your customized Pledge and save 10, 20 or even 30% on your electric bills, lower your emissions and receive incentives from your Co-op.

How does it work?

The Co-op is partnering with Efficiency Vermont to help you make a real change in your electric use. Call toll-free 877-852-0297 and work with an energy efficiency specialist who will lead you through three easy steps.

Step 1: Get to know your energy use.
• Review your energy use with an Efficiency Vermont specialist over the phone.

Step 2: Find out what you can do
• Assess and identify opportunities for you to reduce your electric usage as well as ways to lower the overall energy use in your home.

Step 3: Learn what you can save and how to earn incentives.

• Receive a customized Pledge that summarizes your energy savings commitment and estimates how much you might expect to earn from the Co-op for achieving your Pledge goals.

Go to work!
Make meaningful changes to reduce your electric use based on your customized Pledge. Sign and return your Pledge after making your changes and become a Pledge Partner. As a first step in helping you meet your Pledge goal, the Co-op will send you 6 complimentary energy saving, compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) to replace your most frequently used light bulbs.

Success!
When you achieve your Pledge goal, your electric bill will be lower and you will receive the Pledge Partner Award— an incentive from the Co-op for the amount of electricity you saved.
